Dain Carlson is a licensed architect with over 15 years of experience working on a full range of project types, from custom residential projects to large-scale mixed-use developments.
Originally from Minnesota, Dain’s first career was as a paramedic, tending to the sick and injured aboard advanced life support ambulances in Kansas City, Missouri and Portland, Oregon. A life-long interest in the creative arts led him back to school at the University of Oregon School of Architecture & Environment, where he graduated with a degree in architecture and developed a passion for environmentally sustainable design. Dain is adept at blending the art and science of architecture, creating beautiful spaces that gracefully incorporate client desires with the building’s functional systems, all while responding to the project’s site, climate, and other unique constraints.
Dain’s other passions include skiing, running, hiking, biking, and enjoying the company of his wife and their two Bouvier des Flandres.
