Denver Custom Home Remodel
Factor worked with the client to improve the look and feel of the entire interior of the home, repainting all surfaces in the house and designing and building unique custom built-ins that maximize the existing space.
DENVER, CO
Having a large, usable, yard space in a safe, quiet neighborhood was crucial for this Denver family of four and was a major reason they chose to move to this Tudor-style home in Bonnie Brae.
The home was in dire need of renovation and updating, as a previous addition had not aged well. Heavy venetian plaster and a variety of wall niches did not fit with the new owners’ vision for the interior. Factor worked with the client to improve the look and feel of the entire interior of the home, repainting all surfaces in the house and designing and building unique custom built-ins that maximize the existing space. Kitchen
The kitchen was outdated and lacked storage space. Ill-placed openings between the kitchen and dining room, along with an island that did not accommodate seating, made it difficult to have casual meals for the kids. Adjusting these openings gave greater latitude for reconfiguring the kitchen. We designed a peninsula into the kitchen to provide space for bar stools. We also added a custom bench with storage to a small bump out, which created a breakfast nook out of an odd corner and allowed integration of the client’s existing furniture. Kids’ Bathrooms
Both of the kids’ bathrooms were well worn and dated. The client and the Factor team did a great job revitalizing these spaces while being respectful of the budget. Living Room
Factor replaced tile floors in the family room, kitchen, and entryway with hardwood to match existing areas, and refinished all of the flooring with darker stain. The wall and floor refinishing, repainting, and splashes of color give the home a refreshed and vibrant finish. Hallway
We converted a recessed area in the hall between the entryway and the bedrooms into a bench with cubbies and hooks, creating a great place for the family members to drop their everyday items. The client chose a color that really makes this space pop. Master Bath and Closet
The master bath and closet spaces were big enough but lacked the form and function to be great. Though we used existing plumbing location to save funds, the fixtures and finishes were completely redone. The new bath has Italian Carrara marble throughout and additional cabinet storage. We reconfigured the master closet and moved the furnace above a new ceiling, allowing us to add a laundry area. Contact us today to find out what a renovation could look like for your home!
