Factor’s Summer Spaces

The Colorado Sun is shining, and we’ve said goodbye to hibernation mode! With the arrival of warmer days and longer evenings, we are inspired and pleased to share some design concepts that will improve your outdoor living experience! We’ve wrapped up a handful of 2022 projects that orbited around the pinnacle of outdoor living, and love the way they invite gathering, hosting, and celebrating the blue skies!

Let’s debrief some of our most gorgeous outdoor spaces of 2022…

Jasmine St. Patio

Patio

An elegant, modern design with attention to simplicity and geometric lines, Jasmine St is the perfect combination of cozy and clean. When remodeling this outdoor patio, we wanted to capitalize on ease of utility, expansiveness, and a modern, simple construction that lets the beauty of the outdoor area speak for itself.

The pavement patio stones lend a balanced feel that swings between modern, urban, and natural. Jasmine St. is a dream patio space for the simple, clean, modern design lover.

7th St.

Pool house, Yard & Hosting Space

7th Street has our nomination for a pool party. A heavy emphasis was placed on the pool room during this design process, as well as the transitional spaces between indoor and outdoor spaces; most particularly the dining/kitchen space to backyard. Large windowed sliding doors flood the dining and kitchen space with natural light, and allow for easeful entertaining between the indoor and outdoor space. 

The color hues of this project definitely lean into the spring and summer mood, and natural wood tones and finishes lend a natural, earthy, yet classically elegant feel. 

The backyard pool house is made complete with windowed sliding doors that act as a twin the ones that line the dining room, and a perfectly simple yet comfortable patio seating and picnic area. The front yard has a similar seating arrangement on the front porch with the addition of more floor length windows, gorgeous landscaping, and wrapped up nicely with a white picket fence. It is safe to say that 7th Street is a dream home for the client looking for charm.

Orchard Ave.

Yard & Patio

Orchard Ave is a natural, light, spacious, breath of fresh air. A true modern farmhouse, natural lighting and expansive outdoor focal points were a core focus in the design process. The front yard patio space was completely remodeled with great attention paid to de-cluttering, simplifying textures and colors, and creating comfort. The space is nicely hugged by the East and West corners of the house, making it a central and approachable place to socialize and wind down. 

A key element of the modern farmhouse feel is of course, the farmhouse doors. Much like the 7th St. doors, the Orchard Ave doors pour natural light into all the living spaces, and make for a fully open-concept feel. 

The backyard Patio is finished with a barbecue for summer nights, simple, comfortable, and quaint seating, and a circular fire pit for gathering!

Humboldt St.

Deck and Home Addition

Finally, our pop-top and patio addition project of Humboldt St. is the perfect example of a family-focussed remodel. This Historic Denver Home needed a pop top addition to expand the space for a growing family, and the addition of a user friendly outdoor patio for gathering! Modern Craftsman in design, this natural and practical home design capitalized on warm wood tones, durability, and kid-friendly places to gather.
