We got the inside scoop from our S. Highline Circ. Project Manager, David McClung, and had an amazing time touring the finished project! David shared a few key insights into the remodel of this beautiful home.

What was a defining challenge you and the team were faced with in this remodel process?

“The biggest challenge was probably matching the floors to the existing. It was an old walnut that we refinished and had to patch in areas where we added/deleted cabinetry. We refinished them, but the repair areas were a darker cut of walnut that didn’t have the heathering from natural sun exposure over time.”

Did one specific area undergo a more remarkable transformation?

“Yes, definitely the kitchen. Navy base and stained walnut uppers gave it a classic modern aesthetic and really gave it the edginess it once lacked.”

What would you say the biggest “win” or most show-stopping element of the design ended up being?

“Our major win was the waterfall island countertop. It just looks amazing and the veining flows through the waterfall edge, it is always so cool to include such a seamless design element that ties the whole feel of the house together.”
