While Matt’s family is from the Black Hills of South Dakota, he moved every 3 years while his father was serving in the Air Force. He grew up spending time in Northern California, Northern Japan, South Carolina, and Colorado Springs. In 2011 he moved to Denver, a familiar place as the Ogden theater stole his heart back in the 90’s.
Matt purchased his first hammer in grade school to build a treehouse with his friends. He enjoyed it so much that he then went on to build a dog house, this time using screws at the advice of his grandfather. After high school, Matt spent many years working at a remodeling company where he learned the fundamentals of carpentry and proper building methods. From there he went on to be a construction service technician, completing work orders for HOA’s in the Denver metro area. Then a senior construction technician with Denver water taking care of their many buildings and properties throughout Colorado. He has also been in the Air Force reserves for 10 years.
In his free time, Matt enjoys cooking funky fresh dinners with his partner and gardening at home. He enjoys live music, golf, tennis, snowboarding, basketball, and riding motorcycles and snowmobiles.
What attracted Matt to Factor was their innovative approach to the building process and unique culture of the team. He is excited to improve people’s spaces.
